April 26: Korean Chemical Society Meeting in Seoul: Special session on Women in Nanoscience highlighted the exceptional talents of women in this field in Korea.

April 24,25: COACh in Korea! Special thanks to Ewa University for hosting our visit!

April 18: COACH career development workshops for graduate students conducted at Ohio State University went great! Thanks to all that attended. It was fun!

April 7: COACh is looking forward to meeting with women chemists at the upcoming Korean Chemical Society meeting in Seoul. If you have friends going, please let them know.

Mar 24: COACh Nora Berrah is working with the directeur General for Research in Algeria to bring COACh activities to their women physicists and materials scientists. Watch for updates!

Mar 19: Skyping with our friends in Cameroon: Great to hear you all! And how wonderful to hear your stories about how you have used the training from the COACh workshop last fall in Yaounde to accomplish great things! Looking forward to our visits in May and August! Thanks Barbara and Edith for organizing the call.

Mar 14: COACh in Brazil: Wonderful visit with women scientists in Brasilia where we discussed bringing COACh leadership workshops to Brazil and our upcoming research workshops with women geoscientists in Latin America on natural environmental hazards.

Feb 24: COACh Advisory Board hosted Dr. Harriet Okatch (Botswana) and Dr. Simiso Dube (S. Africa). Looking forward to partnering with you and other SEANAC members on advancing Analytical Chemistry on the African continent. Sign up on iCOACh if you want to get involved.

Feb 21: COACh met with Chancellor Salih Al Najim, Vice Chancellor Ali Al Attar of Basrah University and Hassan Al Mudhaffer of BP (Iraq) and discussed future plans for COACh programs to assist women scientists in Iraq.

Feb 1: Welcome to the new COACh website! Become a member. There's lots of opportunities to get involved in our mentoring, networking and international activities. Check out all the new programs and join in the discussions.

      SIMPLIFY YOUR SLIDES:
      The audience must be able to grasp content quickly.
      Don't force them to decide between listening to you or reading busy slides

      Make the slides quickly comprehensible

      • Use simple fonts (Arial, Gill Sans)
      • No more than 4 bullet points/page
      • No more than 1 graph per page
      • No more than 1 slide per minute

      - as a roadmap for topics to be covered
      - to emphasize points addressed
      - to provide a visual summary of the main conclusions of your presentation
