Temporary Lecturer, Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry within the Division of Physical Sciences at UC San Diego seeks to establish a pool of outstanding instructors for undergraduate courses in all areas of chemistry. Pending budgetary approval, one or more non tenure-track lectureships may become available for the 2016-17 academic year, and possibly Summer Session 2017. Appointments may be one or more quarters/sessions based on department need. All areas of chemistry and biochemistry will be considered. A PhD in Chemistry or related field and teaching experience, preferably in both lecture- and laboratory-based settings, are required. Research experience, two supportive letters of references, strong record of mentorship, and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are highly desirable
The 9-month salary and level of appointment are based on qualifications and UC pay scale. Applications received by November 1, 2016 will be given priority consideration. Applications received up to May 1, 2017 will be considered if openings still exist. Apply via:
