Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Organic Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at The Pennsylvania State University seeks outstanding applicants for tenure-track faculty positions in the area of organic chemistry, broadly defined. Both junior and senior candidates are encouraged to apply. While the research focus of the search is broad, candidates whose scientific interests complement those of existing faculty are preferred. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, organic materials, molecular recognition, catalysis, synthetic methodology, polymers, bioorganic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, and main group chemistry. Successful applicants should have a Ph.D., an outstanding record of research accomplishments, an innovative future research plan, and be capable of achieving teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department of Chemistry at Penn State offers a stimulating environment that supports cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, including a 177,000 square foot chemistry research building on the University Park campus, excellent shared instrumentation facilities, and close interactions with the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, the Materials Research Institute, and the Penn State Institutes of Energy and the Environment.
