DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION: The School of Mathematical Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for one or more tenure-track positions in Statistics at the Assistant Professor level. Successful candidates for this position are expected to engage in original research and scholarly activities in Statistics, seek competitive external funding, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise, mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate student research. 

While candidates with expertise in any area of statistics are welcome to apply, we especially encourage applications from candidates with specialization in statistical learning, high dimensional statistical analysis, data science, and predictive analytics.

·         Have earned a PhD. in Statistics, or a closely related field

·         Have a demonstrated potential for successful college teaching (may include TA experience)

·         Have a demonstrated potential for scholarly research in methodological, computational or applied statistics

·         Have a demonstrated potential for funded scholarship
