Effective Scientific Presentations

Effective Scientific Presentations

Scientific presentations are among the most powerful ways to communicate research findings, often reaching far more people than published papers alone. This workshop provides evidence-based strategies for designing and delivering clear, concise, and compelling presentations that engage both specialist and non-specialist audiences. Participants learn how to effectively communicate the significance of their work, explain methods and results, tell a compelling scientific story, and maximize audience understanding and retention.

Grounded in research on effective oral and visual communication, the workshop includes practical guidance on slide design, audience engagement, and presentation delivery. Optional modules address effective poster presentations and short-format flash talks.
