Becoming an Outstanding Upstander: You Can Make a Difference

Becoming an Outstanding Upstander: You Can Make a Difference

With the global challenges we face today, we cannot afford to lose any science and engineering talent because of biases, bullying or harassment.  While leadership can set the tone for creating a collegial and inclusive environment, everyone has the ability and responsibility to be an "upstander", one who speaks or acts in support of an individual that is the target of such aggressions.   This workshop provides an opportunity for graduate students and postdocs to learn ways that they can be an outstanding upstander and participate in creating a collegial, inclusive, positive, and respectful professional environment at professional meetings and in the workplace.

This workshop can be modified for those at higher career levels.
